365 - Day 52

1. Sleep! I don't think I've enjoyed or been in need of sleep as much as I have today!

2. It was warm today! The forecast predicted rain most of the week but we had beautiful Halloween weather. Perfect for TOTing!

3. The kids are at such a fun age right now. They thoroughly enjoyed going out tonight. We had a blast watching them get excited and conversing with other little families that were out. Bonus of the evening, Hubby and I raiding their candy after they went to bed!

You know the party is over once you get peed on.

The Burrito clan had quite the busy day day yesterday.  One of the hubby's cousin's wedding was yesterday about an hour and a half away from where we live.  This was the first wedding either of our munchies have ever attended and my normal huge support for the hubby's family functions, in laws, were not going to be in attendance as they are in Mexico.  I was a little nervous as how the day would go.  The big honor of the day was that Belle was asked to be one of the flower girls.  She was beyond excited to say the least!  I woke at the crack of dawn to get myself ready and then the girl.  I let the hubby know that he would be in charge of the little man for the day as we all know that getting a girl to look just so takes a lot of time and hard work!

Thankfully the rain held off for the long drive.  We'd never been to this church, and all gasped when we pulled up.  It was stunning.

We arrived early, and took advantage of taking a photo op.

It was impossible to put down the camera in this gorgeous church.  It was seriously the most beautiful church I've ever been in.

Everyone took their places, and the ceremony began.  It was lovely, and Arlene, the bride, was breathtaking.

Hubby and I were very impressed with Elias during the service he sat and was quiet with the exception of a few inquiries for a snack!  Poor little guy, the wedding was right at noon and we arrived before 11.  He would whisper, "Milk?  Go be right back, okay?"  Normally when he asks for milk in the morning I'll say "Okay, I'll be right back!" When I informed him there was no milk he continued, "Goldfish?  Raisins?  Crackers?  Apple?"  He was determined to ask until I gave up something!
"C'mon Mom, I know you must have SOME kind of snack for me!"

We took a few more pictures and then we were off to the reception.

The reception was beautiful!  The had a photo booth to take pictures in that was a ton of fun!  I'll be scanning ours next week and posting.  The food was great, music was fab, and the company was stellar!
My dancing partner for the evening was Elias, and let me tell you that boy can cut a rug!  Belle ended up catching the bouquet, and that was the icing to the cake of a fabulous first wedding experience for her.

It was an extremely long day for all of us, but especially for the little man with no nap two days in a row.  We've been potty training and he's doing fabulously, with one hang up: Public Bathrooms.  Elias HATES public bathrooms. I'm talking some serious hatred.  Hatred with the intensity of a thousand hot burning suns kind of hatred. He has a serious fear of public bathrooms and refuses to go in them.  We're working on it.  *sigh*  I put the little man in a pull-up as I anticipated the bathroom situation would be nightmarish with him.  Here's the thing, he's at the stage where he does NOT want to go in a pull-up, and I don't blame him.  We tried taking him numerous times to the bathroom and he refused, yet he didn't go in his pull-up either.  He held out for HOURS.  He was getting very, very sleepy as the night wore on.

He was being so cuddly, so sweet, so loving, so...warm.  Um, wait a minute, what was that?!  That poor pull-up didn't stand a chance against a days worth of pee.  Neither did my dress. You know the party is over and it's time to go home once you get peed on. And on that note, we called it a night!

365 - Day 50 & 51

I know, I know, I'm behind!  I honestly did pick my 3 of the day on the days and have a good excuse for not posting!  We've been CRAZY busy!  One of the hubby's cousin's wedding was yesterday and the girl was in it.  Which meant a lot of things to do to get ready Friday night, and up at the crack of dawn yesterday.  I'll leave the wedding stories for another post.  On to my 365's for day 50 & 51.

Pumpkin Yolk

Belle convinced me to let her stay up late so we could carve her pumpkin tonight.  At first it was on me to scoop out all of the guts.  After some coaxing B jumped in to help, and she said she really liked the pumpkin "yolk".  She thought the gooey mess was gross...but fun!

Elias' word of the day is not brought to you by the letters "TR"

Driving the little man to Grammy's this morning we were pointing out things that we were seeing.  Then E saw a truck, and then another truck and this is what he said....

"Lookit..itsa f*ck! Anudder f*ck! Hi f*cks! Hi f*cks!"

Now, he was accurate.  There were a lot of fuc...er....trucks on the freeway this morning.

Pulled out my camera when we parked and got this little gem.

By the 3rd time I think he got the "trrrrr" out.  I warned Grammy when I dropped him off that he *may* drop the f-bomb, but not to fret, he's just saying TRUCK!  Gotta work on the "TR" sound!

365 - Day 44

1. My sister made me laugh hysterically today!  I had sent my nieces and nephew their bday gifts, and they were going to open them a little early.  My sis told my oldest niece not to get too excited because it could just be underwear since Auntie Stacy has a favorite kind of underwear and she might send her a pair.  My sneaky sis then went and removed my card from the package and put a pair of her chones in a gift bag and attached the card.  Inside the card I wrote something to the affect of how fast she's growing up and that I hope she likes her gift and I think she'll look super fashionable in it!  My poor niece opened the chones and was mortified for a good 10 minutes before my sister cracked and finally told her she pulled a prank, and gave her my real gift! SO FUNNY!

2.  My oldest niece for being such a good sport!  I'm thrilled that she loves her actual gift!

3.  The League, hilarious!

The laws of kissing according to Belle

A little conversation with Belle:

B: "Momma, I'm don't kiss boys, I'm too young and not allowed to...right?"
Me: "That's good, and you're right you aren't."
B: "Maybe like when I'm in college or something I'll kiss a boy. Like, that age is appropriate, right Momma?"

Me:  "Yeah, college sounds good."
B: "Or maybe in High School"
Me:  "Yeah, Daddy might not like that too much, don't tell him that."
B: "You need to be like, all the way full in love to kiss a boy, so maybe I'll just stick to college."

Me:  "That sounds like a good idea."
B: "Yeah.....I think that's a good plan
Me: "Great plan."

Disneyland Happy

One of the nights of our vacation as we were tucking the kids into bed, Isabelle let out a big sigh and said, "I'm so happy.  Can we please live in Disneyland?"  My thoughts exactly kid, my thoughts exactly.  Something about Disneyland kinda happy is like no other kind of happy.  It's euphoria to me.  It's just this sense of everything being full of ease, love, laughter, and endless possibility.  I use the reference "Disneyland kinda happy" a lot lately.  It's a reference or mark to obtain that magical level of happiness.  I'm sure it's not only possible to reach only when one is physically in Disneyland, but it's definitely found there!

Our trip to Disneyland was blissful.  We went to the parks for 3 days, one of which fell on the hubby's birthday.  We actually celebrated both of the boys' birthdays while there.  Something about going to Disneyland puts all of us in fabulous moods.  Everyone gets a long, and we are all completely relaxed.  We are normally so busy, both working hard and carting the kids to and fro for daycare/school/activities.  When we are on vacation all of the hustle and bustle goes out the window.  There is no schedule.  We relax and let the day take us where it takes us.  I absolutely love it!

This trip was definitely our best yet.  Elias' reaction to the characters were absolutely priceless. We celebrated his birthday dinner with a character meal at Goofy's Kitchen.  We saw Pluto and he desperately wanted him.  When we got close however, he suddenly became very shy.  Next up came Goofy, which you will see the picture in my previous picture post!  He BAWLED his eyes out!  Then Minnie came to save the day by giving him a "high five".  One thing my boy LOVES to do is give high fives.  From then on he wanted to high five every single character multiple times.  He about lost his mind when he saw his "boys", Buzz and Woody.  He could not get enough of them!  He still is talking nonstop about "Go to Disneyland, high five Buzz and Woody, okay?  Let's go!"

Isabelle was a sweetheart as always with her brother.  So very kind and helpful.  She loved enjoying his reactions and pointing things out to him.  She was adorable with both me and hubby thanking us profusely and saying what a wonderful time she was having.

I know that everyday can't be a Disneyland kinda day, but I can't wait to go back!  Everyone should have some Disneyland kinda happiness in their life.

365 - Day 42

1. The funny things my daughter says that provides me with endless smiles.

2. I feel good tonight.  Content, happy.  That's always a good thing.  It's been a good day.

3.  Lastly I'm grateful that the weather is changing.  I'm ready for sweaters, scarves, and boots!

365 - Day 40

1.  I took the day off today and was able to be one of the chaperones on the girl's first field trip.  I love that I'm able to participate in her schooling experience!  I remember my parents and grandparents volunteering at my school growing up and have very fond memories of that. Belle was beyond excited that I was able to come today.  The smile and pride on her face while introducing me made my day.

2.  For the delicious dinner we had tonight!  Grilled balsamic chicken, grilled asparagus, and twice baked potatoes.  YUM!

3.  My little guy gave me the hugest hug and kiss out of nowhere tonight and said "Love you!" That was my made my night moment!

The Happiest Place On Earth is Worth Every Penny

Our trip in pictures...warning, it's picture heavy!  I'll be posting about our trip on another entry.  For now, I'll let the pictures tell the story.
